From Yasha Levine
My good friend Zam, a filmmaker in Los Angeles, was inspired by my book project and made a short teaser about life in Surveillance Valley. It is set in the near future, and gives a glimpse into a world where Google’s vast surveillance apparatus gets connected to the company's robotics division. In this case: Google's Cheetah — a real robot that's funded by the U.S. military and made by a Google subsidiary.
It's a funny little clip. It's also a bit scary. Because it shows a future that's right around the corner.
