Commencement speaker at Saint Martin's University 2010
She started as a music major at South Puget Sound Community College and transferred to Saint Martin’s in her junior year, and is graduating with a 4.0 GPA. She has had a life-long love for music, singing in a Glee Club at Montessori pre-school, a musical production at Pioneer Elementary School, and in the Olympia Youth Choir. She was home-schooled from fourth grade through high school, which allowed her to take professional music lessons, including operatic study with Elaine Burk and guitar instruction from Phil Lawson. At Saint Martin’s, she feels fortunate to have studied with Crystal Zimmerman, Darrell Born, Bruce Berry, Art Peterson, and the very unique Brother Aelred. She attributes who she is today and who she will become to the wonderful music faculty and close friends she has found at Saint Martin’s.
