Ben was born fully sighted, however a degenerative eye disease call Retinitis Pigmentosa left him fully blind by the time he was in his late 20’s. Ben realised that he needed to take responsibility for himself, accept the diagnosis and move on with his life. He knew, in that moment, that he wanted to make a difference for people with a disability.
Ben recently attempted to break the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the Fastest speed for a motorcycle ridden blindfolded. Achieving speeds of up to 220km/hour, he set set an Australian record. In doing so Ben hopes to break down stereotypes and inspire others to pursue their dreams. The In Sight of Dream Foundation will be established to ensure they can.
