Encounters

Produced by the Microsoft Research Centre of Social Natural User Interfaces (SocialNUI) and the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) Encounters is an interactive digital art installation that explored the world of human-computer interaction during Melbourne’s 2015 SummerSalt festival.

The work has been developed in a highly collaborative manner, involving individuals from a range of disciplines and art practices including visual arts, composition, dance, lighting, interactivity, computer vision, and computer science. The concept has been developed and iterated by individuals from all of these disciplines from the Encounters team.
