Natasha Musevic and Marko Batista have developed an interactive interface for multilayered audio-visual compositions and extended possibilities of using ferrofluid as tool for making magnetic compositions that are digitally transmitted and form sonic + visual structures together with programmed code. magneticmatrix.wordpress.com/
The main medium explored in Magnetic Matrix 3.1 project is the stable colloid suspension of magnetic nanoparticles in liquid base which throughout performance authors use to manipulate in order to create audible compositions that are digitally transmitted and generate visual structures in real-time. Project is based on several components like Ferrofluid, magnetic field, OpenFrameworks Blob Tracking System, MIDI Data, Quartz Composer and VDMX.
