Chuck Parr presents: Indirect Lighting
Indirect lighting: “reflected or diffused light”: used especially in interiors to avoid glare or shadows.
Chuck Parr, well known Memphis musician and purveyor of original vintage art and accessories is presenting a multi-faceted event, “Indirect Lighting” at Crosstown Arts Gallery Space, 430 Cleveland, on March 20-21, 2015.
This unique show blends vintage high-style 1950’s lamps, original marque sized movie posters, rare album cover art, vintage magazines and period fashions into a multi-sensory experience. Chuck’s goal is to showcase elements of Mid Century art, design and style through illumination, illustration, entertainment and fashion. Most pieces will be available for purchase.
Friday’s opening reception features a special performance by:
“Chuck and Nora Are Retroactive”
a musical combo with Chuck and longtime Memphis musician Nora Tucker.
The event kicks off at 6:00 p.m. March 20 with wine and popcorn.
Live music and modeling starts at 7:00 p.m.
The show runs from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Friday March 20 and from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Saturday March 21.
