This was shot in Chiapas, one of the most beautiful states in Mexico.
This is just one, of a series of videos that were projected through the show. (This is the one I was in charge for).
The director of the show, the whole project, and the rest of the videos is Jorge Orozco, a great friend of mine.
This is one of the best projects I've been. All the toys you can dream were available: A Phantom Camera, Several Film Cameras, a Flying Cam, Several Units, etc.
This video was made exclusively for an indigenous Progressive Rock Band named Sak Tzevul (Means lightning) that performed live during the show.
The music in the video was not the final product, it was just a work in progress reference for us to know the timings and being able to edit the video for the show. The band played live on the night of event, and they added a way lot more of regional instruments on the show. It was a great performance.
Once again, some of the visual techniques used in this video were inspired by the work of Sebastian Perez Duarte. Hope you can watch some of his work in Flickr.
I had been experimenting with those sort of visual techniques in motion for more than a year before that show, but until that project I didn't find the right place to use them, they ended up just as experiments.
Hope you enjoy!!!
