What's the next big thing in modern Human Computer Interaction - and what's going to replace your mouse and keyboard? These are the questions we asked ourselves at the beginning of the research project we now call GRIPSPONSE. Movies like "Minority Report" and "Iron Man" lead the way but is this kind of interaction possible - and how can we use it effectively?
After more than two years of research, GRIPSPONSE answers these questions: yes and yes! We use a customary 3D television with shutter technology and a depth-sensor for gesture detection. In addition to this stereoscopic experience, two dimensional displays and virtual reality glasses like Oculus Rift are supported.
