EarthABLE – “Pertaining to a Heavenly endowment, giving the Christian believer complete authority and ability
to live and function with everything needed to succeed in the earth.”
In the third teaching of this series, Dr. Don G. Pickney goes deeper into the concept of “EarthABLE.” Referencing again events occurring between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 6:7, he portrays the struggle between God and His Earth project. an endeavor of which, he reminds us, God will ultimately prove entirely victorious. He shows the emotional high of Creator God (Elohiym) as He looked upon the creation after making Adam, both male and female, He cried out with utter joy, “Behold (meaning, “Look! Look! Put it on display for all to see!”), It is very good.” He was celebrating how perfectly “EarthABLE” He had made everything. The Earth had a perfect cosmos created for it with its solar system, magnetically creating the exact gravitational pull needed for life on the earth.
Pastor Don glorifies how God created Earth’s moon. He called attention to the fact that we look up into the night sky and see the same “face” of the moon each night. Sometimes it appears smaller, and other times much larger, but it’s surface is always the same (the same man-in-the-moon appearance).
He asks, “How can this be, seeing that the moon has actually has three rotations: (1) it is spinning as a globe, (2) it is in a rotation around the Earth, and (3) it is also, along with Earth, in a rotation around the Sun. Perhaps you’ve never thought too much about it.
But, with the association of the Moon and Earth, their simultaneous spinning and rotating have to be in such perfect harmony together, causing it to appear that the Moon is not spinning, otherwise, at different times we would be seeing “another face” in the moon. Earth, very large compared to the moon, spinning at one speed, while the moon, very small, is spinning at yet another speed, happen to both be timed perfectly so that as night comes, the luminescent side of the moon is always decorating our sky to give the darkness a “lesser light,” just as Genesis declares to be God’s plan.
Genesis 1:16-18 MSG “God made two big lights, the larger to take charge of Day, The smaller to be in charge of Night; and he made the stars. (17) God placed them in the heavenly sky to light up Earth (18) And oversee Day and Night, to separate light and dark. God saw that it was good.”
Did you catch the last remark of the verse? God made the solar system (Earth’s cosmos) to be “EarthABLE,” not the Earth to be “CosmosABLE.” In creation, it was all about Earth. No matter what science tries to reason about Earth’s solar system, Earth didn’t happen to wind up the planet able to support life. It was carefully designed. Otherwise, sometimes when night would come, and we looked at the moon, it would be dark, unable to reflect its luminescent light.
Until the space flight of Apollo 8, we had not seen the back side of the moon. Amazingly it did not have the same appearance as the “face” of the moon we see the same each night. It was as if it had been battered, with nothing but small craters chipped away from the luminous surface, causing it to be unable to reflect the same intensity of light that we see nightly in the sky.
Therefore, for the Moon to do its job to light up the night sky, each night, when the Moon appears, the side of the moon we see, must be in the same place of its own spin, timed perfectly with the Earth’s rotation, in order for its beautiful luminous side to appear. IT WAS MADE JUST FOR OUR NIGHT SKY! It was reated “EarthABLE!”
The tragedy of it all came very quickly, as Adam yielded to Satan’s plan to thwart God’s perfection of His Earth.
Think about it. When reading through the perfect order God created on each successive day of His creative week. The thought that went into making the “erets” (Hebrew for the crust of the Earth), the top soil, filled with nutrients, perfectly matching exactly the nutrients out of which Adam was taken from the Earth. The Earth would, with perfect ease, provide Adam with exactly was he needed to live and thrive with health.
But Adam’s Earth-ability would prove to be in ruin. And God’s perfect plan would be frustrated:
Genesis 3:17-19 “He told the Man: "Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree That I commanded you not to eat from, 'Don't eat from this tree,' The very ground is cursed because of you; getting food from the ground Will be as painful as having babies is for your wife; you'll be working in pain all your life long. (18) The ground will sprout thorns and weeds, you'll get your food the hard way, Planting and tilling and harvesting, (19) sweating in the fields from dawn to dusk, Until you return to that ground yourself, dead and buried; you started out as dirt, you'll end up dirt."
But God will not be defeated! Get ready for much revelation as you view this teaching!
