Malik Al Nasir (formally Mark T. Watson) – Born in L8 in the late 1960s.
As a publisher, poet, social activist, music and event producer, Malik is of mixed Guyanese and Welsh heritage. Having graduated from three of Liverpool’s universities, Malik played an instrumental role in the Crawford House Community Partnership and the Al Ghazali Education Centre. He is also a founding director of the Merseyside Refugee Support Network, has toured with Gil Scott-Heron and The Last Poets, and performs poetry under the name Malik & the O.Gs.
