If I Can Dream is an internet based "reality" show that plays live 24/7 at this url, ificandream.com. There's also a weekly show on Hulu.
This was the prototype for the 24/7 live website for IICD. The creators of the show wanted to see something "working" before they invested in POKE, where I work, to create the website. I had one weekend to develop the prototype so we determined the best way to show the value of having this website, in addition to a Hulu channel, would be an After Effects prototype of how we envisioned the final site. Also, there was a lot of 3D in our concept and at that time, Flash didn't have built in 3D.
The AE prototype worked great to sell the idea and we were given the budget to produce the final site. The biggest thing I took away from this project was that AE can be a valuable tool to rapidly prototype a website, especially if it involves 3D layers and camera moves. This video became an important guide for programmers in making the final working site.
