My family and I were at our cabin up in north MN last weekend. I brought my HV30 and decided to film tons of stuff.
This made to look like it came from a Michael Bay film (minus the explosions). It is filled with slow motion, epic music, sunsets, and lens flares. :)
Shot on a Canon Vixia HV30 in 24p cinema mode for most shots. For some shots, I shot in 60i cinema mode then converted to 60p and slowed back to 24p for awesome slow motion. I also turned down the contrast and color depth a lot in camera.
I used the MiniDV Stabilizer from http://balvanzenterprises.com for the steadicam shots.
Intro made in After Effects CS3, and video was edited in Adobe Premiere Pro CS3. I color corrected the footage with Magic Bullet Colorista for Premiere to give it a Michael Bay color scheme. You could use the 3 way color corrector for this too if you wanted.
