Single-channel video projection and stereo sound. 10 minutes 27 sec.
Shock Response Spectra consists of 267 digital photographs displayed in random order at a randomly determined frame rate. This stepped series was then matched with a continuous, found field recording. A counterpoint between the indeterminately defined photo sequence and the sonic events of the recording emerges. I investigate a psychophysical experience of landscape and expect the viewer to encounter a specific, though geographically undefined, place.
Installation notes: To be projected on a screen or other white surface in a light-sealed room with black walls and black, but reflective, floor. Sound should be loud.
