Call of the Ancient Mariner, produced by David Weintraub of the Center for Cultural Preservation will screen at the 2015 WCFF in New York, October 16-25.

on the back of a turtle shell, the first known coin has a sea turtle on it. The Maya based their sophisticated astronomical based on the scutes of a turtle. Mariner documents these fascinating historical connections, how they inform past and current conservation efforts, and what they mean for us today.
