On our visit to Cape Arid National Park we met a group of researchers from Parks and Wildlife Western Australia. They had set traps to evaluate wildlife diversity and went our for hearings to track down ground parrots.
I volunteered straight away and got the great chance to assist the group on their daily work. The shot above shows a honey possum that was just freed from a trap. This little cute animals feeds from nectar only and after a night in captivity it gets a little extra portion of nectar to get going again.
