Cassandra is an immersive sound installation. A needle of sound (created using ultrasonic sound lasers) intercepts an abstract, immersive blanket of sound. Walking into the space, one hears the internal, bodily sounds of a distant lake as it freezes and thaws. Visitors thread the needle of sound--words of two individuals in the initial stages of friendship. In this way, the viewers' bodies become a crucial part of the installation's mechanism.
