Diana Navarro is one of the best Spanish female voices; she fuses our traditional genres such as flamenco and copla, with oriental and classical styles. She is passion and elegance, beauty and power.
“Sola” was the first song that made her well known to the public. It belonged to her first album “No te olvides de
mi” (2005) recognized with main Spanish music awards among which a Nomination for Best Newcomer at the Latin Grammys. From her debut album she sold 2 Platinum albums, “24 Rosas” (2007) was her second album, Platinum in just a few weeks she got h five nominations for the Spanish Music Awards and a successful tour during which she also performed in the international show “Mujeres” alongside some wonderful female voices visiting New York, Washington, Miami, London and Paris.
“Camino Verde” (2008) was her third album: a selection of classical coplas (folk songs) but revised to a modern style. Again she achieved Platinum status.It was followed by “Flamenco” (2011) tributing that genre and the iconic performers of that music. “Género Chica” (2012) was a tribute to zarzuela (Spanish music genre). With this album her trilogy of Copla, Flamenco and Zarzuela finalized. Her latest release, “La Esencia”(2013), compiles the very best of her career up till now and includes a new song “Amar es para siempre”, the main title of a popular TV sitcom.
She recorded the well-known “Summertime” and “Moonriver” singing in English for the first time and “Ancora qui” (Morricone) again for the first time performing in Italian. Artists such as Sergio Dalma, Armando Manzanero, Andy y Lucas, Maria Dolores Pradera, Duo Dinamico and Pablo Alboran are featuring in that album.
BMG SPAIN acquired in 2014 all the songs performed by Diana Navarro in her albums “No te olvides de mi”, “24 Rosas”, “Flamenco” and “Genero Chica”, the majory of them also included in the Best of “La esencia”. In addition she has been the muse of Pablo Alboran (best Spanish act on 2014, 2013, 2011 for Spain and Portugal) and she has performed with him his massive hit “Solamente tu” , included in his smashing debut album (studio CD and live CD) also acquired by BMG Spain in 2014.
