A Photography of Thought by JD Haigh 2012
Observing a tidal seascape, a distant horizon, is the tracking of a ship's passage,
The sailing time contained, glides from edge to edge of a rectangular frame.
A static watch-post targets halfway and points towards an ominous, cloudy sky,
the silver pool of imagery shimmers an waves in stillness.
Hallucinations of wetland and dry sea, where liquid becomes earth and stone, it is
a geometric stratum, a tiling of pixels, revealing a projection of flapping temporal birds.
A dream made from light, a printed memory,
turning and turning into a photography of thought.
