I had a great meal yesterday at “ Yoron no Aji … Tara “ , a cozy restaurant in Yoron Island Village Hotel .One of their specialty food is “Keihan “. It is a local dish at Amami –Ooshima ( nearby island ) .
Keihan is a delicious food and has an interesting way of eating. If you are a tourist or a first timer ( like me ) , you may need to ask instructions on how to
eat this local cuisine.
Pour chicken broth flavored with soy sauce over rice toped with
shredded chicken · scallions, shredded egg ·, nori dried seaweed , shiitake mushrooms and others. Then you say “ Itadakimasu “ .
