Summer hit has taken on a new meaning in the Groninger Museum.
What would a painting actually sound like? We asked a number of bands and singer-songwriters from the Netherlands and abroad. The musicians took their inspiration from a work of art featured in the exhibition entitled Now in the Groninger Museum. 100 Years of Collecting: 1894-1994. They translated whatever the painting meant to them into music. The result is a soundtrack you can listen to in an audio tour while seeing the art in the exhibition.
You can listen to a taste of some of the songs here in advance.
