Over three years later, Chuck returns to the same location and discusses how we has been managing this field, which has included performing a controlled burn and planting grasses and legumes to attract wildlife. Chuck also mentions his core forestry philosophy of sustainability: "We're planting, managing and growing more trees than we're harvesting... that way the resource will be here from now on."

This essay examines two spaces dear to musician and conservationist Chuck Leavell. In Part One, Leavell discusses forest management on a small portion of his property in Twiggs County, Georgia. In Part Two, he performs solo piano pieces at the historic Douglass Theater in downtown Macon, Georgia.
