"Connecting Communities with their environment through compost.
To re-connect the small rural community of Mudgegonga/Rosewhite with its environment through active involvement in and understanding of production of compost.
This community was burnt out in 2009. Many are now exhausted by and wary of their rural environment.
Understanding and making compost at an individual level is achievable with help, education and encouragement. This necessarily encourages a broader and deeper understanding of environmental issues facing this community - it is a way into the often jaded psyche of many farmers and rural communities.
This knowledge, understanding and skill can then be applied more broadly in an agricultural context."
