This film - funded by Suffolk County Council via their Transforming Suffolk grant scheme and administered by Suffolk Community Foundation - is part of a series of films in a project called 'Eat Well, Stay Well'.
"Fantastic Food" was made following a series of visits to a class of under 5 year olds at a Nursery School & Children's Centre in Ipswich, UK. During the sessions the children were introduced to the topic of 'Healthy Eating' choices through a whole range of activities. This film is directed primarily to parents/carers and other organisations that work with the very young. It is hoped that the activities and approach taken by staff at the Centre will encourage others to help improve decisions over food and health in the future.
The three other films - 'The Healthy Plate', 'What am I Eating?' and 'The Sensible Shopper', aimed at an older audience, provide an introduction to healthy living and ways that you can shop economically. The last film was shot thanks to the help of the East of England Co-operative store and Woodys (a local butcher) both in Holbrook. All of the films will be distributed to all of the Children's Centres in Suffolk.
The programmes were all made by Ko-An Arts CIC - a Community Interest Company - and free support material to accompany all the films can be found on ko-an.org
