From both the analog and digital preservation perspectives, audio collections have traditionally posed a major challenge for archives. In this webinar, Doug Boyd, director of the Louie B. Nunn Center for Oral History in the University of Kentucky Libraries presents strategies and workflows for curating and preserving digital audio formats. The Nunn Center has over 9,000 interviews in the collection and accessions 300-500 new, born-digital interviews each year. Boyd discusses workflows, policies, techniques, planning, software, costs, and strategies for managing and preserving digital audio formats in an archival context.
