Our Independent Contractor app gathers information from both company and contractor, and then provides a report assessing the risk of classifying the contractor as an employee under federal and state laws. The app is built in collaboration with Littler, using relevant statutes and regulations in all U. S. jurisdictions and Neota Logic, using their expert system software. The app uses question flows and logic (if/then mappings, decision trees, and weighted scorings) to apply statutes, regulations and case law to the relevant facts.
