This is the story of Alexander Lebenstein, who died last January. His lessons on rising above hate and embracing tolerance come from the atrocities he had to endure as a holocaust survivor. He was a survivor of 2 ghettos, 4 slave labor camps and 2 concentration camps.
Fifty years after liberation, Alex overcame his anger and started an ongoing friendship with his hometown of Haltern Ahm-Zay, Germany. This story of his survival is our tribute to him.
