Vermonters for a Just Peace in Palestine/Israel (vtjp.org/icecream) took its Palestine Solidarity Cantastoria – No Justice, No Sweets – to the streets of Burlington, Vermont, on April 14, 2015 – “Free Cone Day” for the Ben & Jerry’s faithful.
It was performed outside the flagship scoop shop of Ben & Jerry’s as fellow activists leafletted and engaged the local populace. The leafletting and cantastoria were part of a national day of protest and political education calling for an end to the sale of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream by its Israeli franchise in illegal, Jewish-only settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The 2015 FCD protest marked the start of an international boycott of Ben & Jerry’s for refusing to end its complicity with Israel’s occupation and settlement regime. Stay tuned for more information about the boycott and what you can do to support it.
