This is video I shot while on a four day vacation in Yellowstone National Park in May 2010. As you can see from the video, it was a stormy week and it rained a lot every single day. I feel lucky to have gotten what I got, but would have like to have at least one bright sunny day.
The footage was mostly shot with my Sony PDW-F800. A few of the timelapse shots were done with my PMW-EX1 XDCAM camcorder. It is nice to have two cameras when you're shooting timelapse.
Only a few of the shots have been slightly graded in post. Most of the footage is exactly what the camera shot using my custom Scene Files known as Vortex-1 and Vortex-3. These settings are discussed in my book called "Vortex Media's PDW-700 & PDW-F800 Field Guide".
My 320 page F800 Field Guide book is now available as an interactive iBook for the iPad and iPad Mini.
