"Australia faces a skill shortage and needs to retain mature age workers in the workplace and encourage many that have retired or have been made redundant back into work.
Maturelink will focus on the over 50's reinventing their careers rather than only thinking and planning for retirement.
A pilot group of 30 participants will join a program that explains to them why they should work by outlining the future impact Ageing Australia will have on society and how they can return to the workforce.
They will enrol, train and graduate from Marturelink. It can then be copied around Australia.
