In Creation, Gond artist Bhajju Shyam gathers together the myths and beliefs of his community from central India. By linking the cosmic with the everyday, he expresses the essence of each of these myths in ten sequential images. To bring Bhajju Shyam’s art to life, Creation is produced in Tara Books’ fair trade workshop in Chennai. Each page of every book is carefully screen printed on handmade paper and is also expertly bound by hand. This short film shows the process, from concept to production, behind creating Creation.
