An animation to promote smiling, made by a class of 22 Italian children 10y old.
To animate plasticine characters by deforming them was very complicated.
Moreover we ran into countless technical problems and we end up shooting using a webcam connected to an old computer running Xubuntu.
At the end of this experiment we learned that plasticine needs a careful lighting and proper immobilization of objects.
The soundtrack was made by the kids. Music was produced with ZynAddSubFX, a multiplatform Open Source synthetizer.
This video is part of a school project called "Esperimenti di cinema" that consists in making animations. The production is focussed on creativity and collaboration.
