WHO IS PATTI LYONS?
Patti Lyons is a world class impressionist and former businesswoman best known for her remarkable portrayal of former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. Her stunning resemblance to the Governor in natural appearance, voice, intonation, and mannerisms has won her nation-wide recognition as a corporate entertainer and comedic impersonator.
Patti has performed widely acclaimed shows before a variety of distinguished audiences, and boasts a superb management and support team: Co-writer Greg Schwem is the “King of the Hill in the World of Corporate Comedy” according to The Chicago Tribune and is a favorite amongst numerous Fortune 500 companies, Manhattan-based stylist and make-up artist Guy Guido is the expert when it comes to celebrity transformations, and Hollywood acting coach Robert Easton has trained over 2,500 stars in dialogue, dialect, and accents, earning him a reputation as “The Man of A Thousand Voices” and such high-caliber students as Al Pacino, Gregory Peck, Forest Whitaker, and Ann Hathaway.
Prior to entering show business, Patti spent more than a decade as an award-winning corporate sales and marketing professional, an experience that enables her to entertain and motivate corporate America. After graduating from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a business degree in Marketing and a minor in computers, Patti quickly rose to the top 10% of the global sales force for Federal Express. Finding marketing success in every endeavor, Patti won awards for 'Rookie of the Year' and 'Highest Dollar Volume Sold' in the competitive real estate markets of Greater Philadelphia, founded and sold a professional maid service, and is currently President of a successful interior design firm.
Realizing her resemblance to Governor Palin was a very public process for Patti. It started out with a few comments from passers-by on the street, but quickly escalated to picture-taking with complete strangers, as many as 30 comments each day, and one particularly interesting dinner with her husband in a college town which ended with loud chants of “SARAH, SARAH, SARAH” from a group of nearby students. Finally convinced that she looked like Sarah Palin, Patti entered a celebrity look-alike contest in Naples, Florida, which she won handily.
Aside from looks, Patti's personal similarities to Governor Palin run deep, from marrying their high school sweethearts, to the black and white Shih Tzu that each keep as pets. Both former Pageant Queens, Patti and the Governor share the same love for human interaction and the public eye. Like Sarah Palin, Patti even ran for Vice President; the only catch is that Patti's race was for high school student government and she actually won. Their congenial and outgoing personalities allow them both to immediately hit it off with people and lure the spotlight. Says Patti, “my family likes to tell me that I'm always 'running for mayor' wherever I go. I've never been shy and I love people.” Patti and the Governor each pride themselves on being mothers and possess a rogue, frontierswoman's spirit.
Since 'becoming' Governor Palin, Patti's popularity on the speaker circuit has exploded. Her show, “A Night With Governor Palin,” has received rave-reviews from all audiences for its appeal across political lines, clean, uproarious humor, customizable material, personalized jokes, and the stellar shock value of having 'Sarah Palin' in the room. Governor Palin's nation-wide recognition and relevance, engaging personality, and intriguing political future make Patti Lyons a rising star in the world of corporate entertainment and comedic impressionism.
