World War II & Korean Veterans returned to a hero’s welcome at Columbia Metropolitan Airport. Hundreds of cheering fans celebrated the return of the 21st Honor Flight. Honor flights take veterans on a one day whirlwind tour of Washington to see their war memorials for free. Agapé Senior Harbison celebrated their own hero Cecil Siegler, who is a resident of the Harbison community. Siegler served under General Patton and his division was known as the liberators for their work in liberating concentration camps, most notably, Siegler helped liberate Dachau, the first concentration camp set up by the Nazi government.
