This is a series of clips meant to be a visual backdrop to an upcoming meeting. The video roughly divided into roughly three parts. The first part (0:00 – 1:40) minutes shows the process of planting on an individual landowner's property in Marion, SC which was set aside exclusively for wildlife. The second part of the video (about 1:40-2:45) shows a Longleaf Pine plantation, also on private property in Pulaski County Georgia - the person in this clip is Ronnie Barentine, UGA Extension Agent. The third and last part (2:45+) of the video is a series of shots taken at different times of mature Longleaf Pine stands - these were taken in the Sumter National Forest near McBee, SC. We tried to feature several aspects of LLP namely the canopy, the red cockaded woodpecker (3:36), various understory components (e.g., wiregrass (4:58) and bracken fern (4:06)) and a few critters like a dragonfly (4:48) (beneficial insect) and the fox squirrel (5:08).
