(Comedy) Starring Paul Dawber, Nathan Strauss, Sally McLean & Perri Cummings
Incognita Enterprises and Cinema Viscera proudly present excerpts from their first co-production from 2010 - the independent comedy pilot WHY MUST THE SHOW GO ON? (a tragical comedy).
Documenting the struggle of Unbelievable Productions' visionary leader, Madeleine LaRoy (Sally McLean), to stage her visionary reboot of Shakespeare's MACBETH (in space), we finally get to see the fruits of her (and sundry others) labour in bringing her vision to the stage. Here, Madeleine does Shakespeare - despite a drunk leading man and several other obstacles.
With the help of her faithful best friend/choreographer/costume & set designer/tea lady/everything else Deirdre Snowflake Fleckman (Perri Cummings), Madeleine enlists young drama school graduate Scott Johnson (Nathan Strauss) and alcoholic veteran of the stage Desmond Darke (Paul Dawber) to help her mount her astounding vision - despite all the odds.
