The Terre Adelie project is not a game, it's an interactive experiment. There is no win or lose state. This is about experiencing the sensations provided by an environment uniquely made of noises.
The player is plunged in the darkness, deprived of light, with no image appearing on the screen. He will have to find his way by using only audio queues, aided by a paper map and a flashlight, as if he would do in a treasure hunt.
The player needs to link the sounds he hears with the elements on the map. This is how he finds his way to leave a place turned hostile: a polar base in Antarctica. The experiment depends entirely on sound, as it offers no display. The main challenge is to provide enough benchmark to help locating and guiding oneself only thanks to the sounds.
