Animated music video featuring Robert Wegmann from his album "Keeper of the Bees". The song "Marcone" is about radio and follows the story line of the comic book that is included with the CD. The Queen Bee, shown in her TV ship, has a remote control that controls her singing bees. Robert, our main character, has stolen the remote and is controlling the singing bees to sing his chorus. Throughout the video the Queen Bee is using every dastardly trick up her sleeves to recapture her remote.
Will the Queen Bee be successful in recapturing her remote? Will Robert lose his backup singers? Will the earth's telecommunications survive?
Watch the video and enjoy the fun!
Video editor's note: This is my first foray into this type of video as I usually do time lapse in a more stodgy and utilitarian way. This was quite a fun project but also quite grueling. There is a total of around 80 hours of editing, not all video editing, quite a lot of Photoshop as well. The shoot, after the script was written, took a total of just under three hours. The trouble was getting all that "space" in the garage. Many of the images are from Robert's comic book.
The funny, behind the scenes, bit is that Robert had no idea what the video was going to look like. He had no script, no indications what-so-ever of the content or "look" to the video. We used a script that only explained his actions, not any of the surroundings. He acted his part marvelously but was pretty surprised when he was able to see the final video.
I think he liked it.
