A quick and dirty example of how image stabilization on DSLR lenses works to remove shake and micro jitters from handheld video footage.
I used a Canon 550D with Canon 28-135 F3.5-5.6 IS, 70-200 F2.8L IS II and 70-200 F4 IS lenses to show that the IS is fairly similar for the purpose needed across different price range lenses.
I used no support and was not trying to be smooth but just average across the tests. If you used a shoulder support the results would be even greater.
