Through exploration of public, private and personal reflection "Bricks of Flesh, Mortar of Noise" considers the notion of how we get to know one another and how we interact as humans in today's society.
When conversations start to occur, when physical elements come into play; touch, sight, sound, a relationship evolves - what do we see now; beyond the wall?
Muffled sounds are clearer yet we may have learnt more, been secretly offered more by listening through closed door - through that hidden place where a person can be their private selves.
We ask, what do we give, what do we hide and more importantly why?
This duet is the first piece part of a triptych work called BRICKS.
Premiered in March 2010 at Public Announcement , Choreographic Platform at Dance City Newcastle Upon Tyne and performed at Dance Cuts, Choreographic Platform at The Nuffield Theatre, Lancaster.
