Nitin Baliga discusses visualization methods being used to explore biological networks or circuits. He stresses the importance of visualization methods for deciphering and leveraging evolutionary information, and of conveying dynamic information, such as response to environmental factors. He presents the Gaggle and Firegoose frameworks developed in his group that are widely used to facilitate interoperation of different data sources and visualization. This talk was part of VIZBI 2010, the EMBO workshop on visualizing biological data (vizbi.org). This video has been filmed and distributed with permission under a creative common licence.
