A video of a high altitude balloon launched on 24 May 2015. The video is mostly shot from a GoPro Hero (the cheap £100 one), with an Anker power source to ensure the full 2.5 hours was captured. The downwards facing camera was an iPhone.
The balloon got to about 31,000 m (104,000 ft) before the balloon bursts which can be seen in the video.
You can see the balloon burst at about 8:50 into the video. The balloon is designed to do that, shredding the latex at a particular expansion.
You may notice that it was raining lightly when we took off!
Entertainingly you can here the "motor" sound of a timelapse camera app on another phone running, as well as the notorious phone interference from our GSM tracker (we mostly relied on a radio tracker also attached).
