From February 2009 till June 2009 I had the great opportunity to work on Portraits for 15 Cornwall. 15 Cornwall is part of the global social enterprise of restaurants led by Jamie Oliver.
The Portraits are a series of mini-documentaries about each new trainee. Each year the 15 enterprise allows new trainees to learn the high standing cuisine led by Jamie Oliver.
At the heart of it all is a chef training programme with a simple mission – to empower young people who are in need of a second chance.
Many of the apprentices have not had the best start in life. They may have come from difficult homes, had drug or alcohol problems or a running with the law, but the one thing that unites them all is their desire to change their lives around and be the best that they can be. Fifteen Cornwall gives them that chance. These portraits show their ambitions. This Portrait is about Apprentice Andrew.
My tasks for these Portraits were very intense. I was head responsible for the creative directing and created the motion graphics. Besides that I was an camera assist and edit assist (AVID).
