ROACH (2015) by Juyeul Choe is a fine art motion graphic work that addresses dark and serious social topics through the voice of a cockroach, who is afraid of everything. Through a process that transforms hand-drawn and painted abstract shapes into a playful, yet somewhat ominous digital world, Choe confronts our deepest fears. Just like the cockroach, he asks us to acknowledge our own fears and seek a catharsis.
