A road movie, non narrative, art film, a photographer’s film, where the image and sound are equally important, Dock Hotel is all that.
Directed and edited by the photographer Catherine Hebert with original music by Smooth One, Dock Hotel is about the state of our world. More precisely about the divide, which characterizes our time, somewhere between the open wounds caused by political and social, individual and collective decline our dying world and the unknown world of the future.
Yohji Yamamoto’s clothes are an essential means of expression used in the film. Telling of rigour and strength, a guideline for man with his emotion and vulnerability, they participate along with the urban landscapes of Anvers and Marseille in the expression of resistance and emotional integrity in the face of the scars left on our land, our towns and our souls.
