In 1999, the BBC and PBS launched "People's Century", a series dealing with the 20th century’s main themes. I was of one of 30 producers. My film, SKIN DEEP, examines the fight against racism in the United States and South Africa, from the 1950s through the 1990s. It captures protesters forcing remarkable changes onto reluctant governments -- often at a very high personal price.
