About the film:
A collaboration between myself and Scott Lowe (my room mate and fellow student filmmaker at the time) for our BFA Thesis in Video and Film Arts from MICA 2009. "Advaita" explores the duality of technology and nature coexisting, and hides a science-fiction narrative on the theme of perception.
"Advaita" was shot on the Panasonic AG-HPX170. It was edited, colored, and masked between Premiere & After Effects CS4. Sound was composed, created, and mixed between Ableton Live and ProTools 8 LE, along with a variety of analog sound devices and real instruments. Original 5.1 Mix executed in Adobe Premiere Pro CS4.
The sounds were created using the Moog Little Phatty Tribute, contact mics, field recordings and other methods of sound design.
