Edgar Filk flies his scale looking 3 metre span model on the North Downs MFC field near Throwley, Kent. The model, from a few years ago, has a bought fuselage and homebuilt wings. Decorated in the colours of a Victorinox Swiss Army knife, 'Eddie' naturally calls this model the 'Knife'. Wife Michaela (and logo cutter) is very good with a scalpel it seems. This video is a compilation of three flights totalling over an hour so most of my footage ended up on the 'cutting room floor' so to speak. At one point, an earlier flight that day, Edgar had reached a staggering 655 metres, recorded on his Jeti DS-16 vario, a high flyer indeed, although not as high as the 850 metres flown in his slide show video also available on my webpage. Bobby the dog's investigation of my Mobius camera, the model being buzzed by 'buteo buteo' (02:44) and the 'framed' landing directly opposite Edgar and I are sheer serendipity. I love serendipity!
