Where and how I work: printing Cyanotype artwork on a rooftop mini-golf course in Beijing.
Cyanotypes are a 19th-century photo process. After a decade of creating Cyanotype photos, I now make large-scale paintings with them. When fresh, the photochemicals chemicals are a light green. In sunlight, they turn blue.
A hybrid of painting and photography, this technique uses plastic negatives printed with images to block the sun from selected areas.
