My son, Christopher Marks, just finished this documentary as part of his finals at the University of Applied Sciences in Amsterdam. It is his first try at making a long form documentary. He posted the video here because Vimeo has limits on the lengths of basic accounts.
The documentary looks at how social media has impacted 5 sectors - journalism, charities (fund raising), start-ups, personal branding and corporate marketing. Chris explains why integration of the social media strategy is so important. He mixed some creative commons material with a lot of his own interviews and material that has been made by Critical Distance, my company. It is 50 minutes, but well worth the time if you're curious in the side of the business. Thanks to Creative Commons which made the use of interviews with Stephen Fry and others possible. Of course, it is released in the same spirit in which it was made - creative commons.
