Every year I usually head up to Panhandle Gap to report on snow conditions in late June or early July. This year I just hiked the better part of the trail starting at Longmire and heading CW to Sunrise. As of June 10, the west section of the Wonderland Trail, 57 miles from Longmire to Sunrise, has conditions normally seen in August. The flowers are rioting everywhere. However, there are difficulties with the trail due to no maintenance....blow downs, eroded sections of trail, bridges out over the South and North Mowich rivers etc. This video is a compilation of photo and video taken over this two day trip. It's a crazy year for sure!
